2. Which data is processed

We process only a small amount of personal data that is technically required for the app. No sensitive personal data is requested in the normal use of the app.

• Name or display name, nickname and optional email address during registration, login and account management
• Group membership, group name, favourite team, submitted picks and rankings derived from them within the game
• Technical log data such as IP address, timestamps and server logs to operate and secure the service
• Contents of support or contact requests sent by email

3. Purposes and legal bases

The data is processed to operate the score game, provide login and account management, manage groups and rankings, respond to support requests and keep the service secure and functional.

4. Sharing and recipients

Personal data is only shared where technically required for hosting, operation or communication, or where there is a legal obligation to do so. The project currently uses a self-managed Django/PostgreSQL setup for app operation. No advertising use, third-party analytics, tracking or sale of data takes place.

5. Storage duration

Account data and game-related information are generally stored only as long as the user account exists or the data is required to operate the app. If you delete your account in the app, your account data, profile data, submitted picks and other data directly linked to your account are removed from the app. Support requests are kept only as long as necessary for processing and follow-up. Technical server logs may remain stored for a limited time for operational and security reasons and are deleted regularly afterwards.

6. Data deletion and your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, provided the legal requirements are met.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

In practice, you can delete your own account directly in the app under Profile > Delete account. Users may also request deletion of their personal data at any time by email to [email protected]. To process such a request, it is helpful to include the nickname used, the group name and, optionally, the email address used in the app. We review the request and delete identifiable personal data unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Hosting and technical operation

For the technical operation of the app and website, we use our own Django application with PostgreSQL, static file delivery via WhiteNoise and server-side HTTPS/proxy infrastructure. Technically necessary data such as IP address, time of access, device data and server log data may be processed. This processing is necessary to provide the app, ensure the security of the service and identify technical errors. No advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs are configured in this project.

8. Children and minors

The app is not specifically directed at children under 13 years of age and is not intended for Apple’s Kids Category. People under 16 should use the app only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children unless this is necessary for the use of the app or parental consent has been given.

9. Tracking and advertising

The app contains no advertising and does not use tracking for advertising purposes. No third-party analytics SDKs, ad networks or personalised advertising are configured in the project. Personal data is not sold.

10. Short summary

We process only the data needed to operate the app, including name or display name, nickname, optional email address, group membership, favourite team, submitted picks, rankings derived from them, technical server logs and support communication. The data is used solely to provide the score game, keep the service secure and answer support requests. Users can delete their own account in the app or request deletion by email.
